Unikey is the most popular Vietnamese typing software today. If you encounter a case where Unikey has lost its icon in the right corner of the screen, please do the following to fix the error in time.
Method 1: Check the hidden icon item again
If you don’t see Unikey’s icon in the lower right corner of the screen, it’s most likely in the hidden icons section. To check, just click on the up arrow in the lower right corner of the Taskbar.
This is where you find the applications that are currently working on your computer, and that may include Unikey .
In case you do not find Unikey’s icon but need to use it urgently, press Ctrl + Shift + F5 to make the Unikey window appear immediately.
Method 2: Restart Unikey
This is a common case when you notice that the Unikey icon is still displayed normally but suddenly disappears. Caused by the software did not work properly and you have to restart Unikey from scratch.
Step 1: Press Windows + X , then select Task Manager in the menu.
Step 2: On the Processes tab, scroll down the list to find UniKey Program . You click on this process and select End Task .
Step 3: Now go back to the main screen and open UnikeyNT software again.
Please check if you have fixed the error.
Method 3: Turn on the Unikey icon on the Icon Tray bar
Sometimes, the problem is simply that you have not enabled the Unikey icon on the Tray. To fix it, you just need to go into the settings and turn it on.
Step 1: Right-click on the Taskbar and select Taskbar settings .
Step 2: In the settings window, click on the Taskbar corner overflow item.
Step 3: You find the Unikey Program icon and click to switch its status from Off to On .
Now, the Unikey icon will appear on your Taskbar in the right corner.
Method 4: Reinstall Unikey
Installing Unikey from an unofficial source may cause the software to fail. You should uninstall the software on your device and re-download an official version from the Unikey website.
Step 1: Search your computer and delete the UnikeyNT.exe file.
Step 2: You open a web browser and access the official download website https://www.unikey.org/download.html.
Then click on the latest Unikey release (choose 64-bit or 32-bit depending on your operating system).
Step 3: Once the ZIP file is downloaded, extract the file and use Unikey as usual.
For more convenience, you can drag the UnikeyNT.exe file to the main screen.
